La Journée Mondiale du Contrôle de l’Eau est un programme d’éducation alternative international qui vise à sensibiliser le public et à l’impliquer dans la protection des ressources en eau de part le monde; ceci en encourageant les citoyens à effectuer des contrôles simples de la qualité de l’eau des rivières ou lacs proches de chez eux.
Le programme dure un mois et démarre chaque année le 18 septembre avec une date limite pour soumettre les résultats le 18 décembre. Pour plus de détails.
Saratoga, Wyoming, USA
In the fall of 2007, 172 students from Saratoga Elementary and Saratoga Middle High School participated in WWMD through the SER Conservation District.
Students from the first through the fifth grades tested water at Brush Creek in the Snowy Range of the Medicine Bow National Forest. Sixth through twelfth graders tested water in the North Platte River at Veteran's Island located in the town of Saratoga. High school students included those enrolled in chemistry, physics and biology. 2007 was the fifth year that the SER Conservation District worked with area school students.
